Intellectual Property & Student Work Policy

This policy explains ownership and use of intellectual property related to Hypershift Academy (“Hypershift,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

1. Ownership of Hypershift Materials

All course content, curriculum, instructional materials, videos, text, branding, and platform materials provided by Hypershift Academy are the intellectual property of Hypershift Academy or its licensors. These materials may not be copied, redistributed, or reused outside the platform without permission.

2. Ownership of Student Work

Students retain full ownership of all original work they create while participating in Hypershift Academy, including but not limited to:

• Code

• Projects

• Designs

• Documentation

• Prototypes

Hypershift Academy does not claim ownership of student-created work.

3. License to Display Student Work

By submitting work on the platform, students grant Hypershift Academy a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to display their work for educational, evaluative, or promotional purposes (such as showcasing examples), unless the student requests otherwise in writing.

This license does not transfer ownership.

4. Responsibility for Student Work

Students are solely responsible for the content they create and submit. Hypershift Academy does not claim responsibility for the legality, originality, or external use of student work.

Students are responsible for ensuring their work does not violate third-party rights, laws, or agreements.

5. No Employment or Commercial Claims

Participation in Hypershift Academy does not create an employment relationship, partnership, or joint venture. Hypershift Academy does not claim rights to future inventions, businesses, or commercial products created by students during or after participation.

6. Removal of Work

Students may request removal of their submitted work from public or promotional display at any time, subject to reasonable processing time.

7. Policy Updates

This policy may be updated as needed. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
